Car Giant WA Repair Policy: What You Need to Know Before Your Next Service

1. Protect Your Data – Modern cars are packed with technology. From GPS history and Bluetooth pairings to custom dashboard profiles, your vehicle stores a lot of personal data.

Dropping your car off for a service or repair can sometimes feel like signing away your peace of mind. At Car Giant WA, we want you to be completely clear on how our repair process works, what happens to your vehicle, and your rights as a consumer.

Before you hand over your keys, here is a quick breakdown of our offer and our standard terms and conditions.

•             Your Action: Please ensure you have backed up or saved your data elsewhere before leaving your car with us.

•             The Risk: During the repair process, systems may need to be reset, meaning some or all your stored data could be lost.

2. We may use Quality Refurbished Goods and Parts – To ensure repairs are cost-effective and timely; we don’t always use brand-new replacements.

•             Vehicles or components left for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the exact same type rather than being repaired individually.

•             We also use high-quality refurbished parts to complete certain repair work.

3. What You Authorise When You Leave Your Vehicle – When you sign our work order, you grant Car Giant WA the standard permissions required to do our job effectively:

•             Work Approval: You authorise the agreed repair work and the use of necessary materials.

•             Road Testing: You give our employees and sub-contractors permission to drive your vehicle on public streets and highways for necessary testing and inspection.

•             Liability Boundaries: While your car is in our care, Car Giant WA is not responsible for loss or damage to the vehicle or any personal items left inside due to fire, theft, or other causes beyond our control. Please remove your valuables!

•             Supplier Delays: We always aim for a fast turnaround, however we are not liable for delays caused by back-ordered parts or shipping hold-ups from our suppliers.

4. Your Rights Are 100% Protected (Australian Consumer Law) – Nothing in our policy overrides your legal protections. Our services come with strict guarantees, that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

•             Major Failures: If a service or part suffers a major failure, you have the right to a replacement or a full refund, alongside compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

•             Minor Failures: If the issue is minor and doesn’t amount to a major failure, you are still fully entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced to ensure they meet an acceptable quality.
