Car Giant WA has partnered with Aviloo to enhance its commitment to transparency for used EV & PHEV car buyers. A pioneer in the used car business of transparent “Fixed Price” car buying, Car Giant WA has developed a solid reputation with its “priced to market” philosophy over the past 10 years. Recently deploying independent in-market benchmarking tools to assist customers make more informed price based descission. Now, with EV’s and PHEV’s growing in popularity, it made sense to partner with Aviloo to provide that same level of transparency for Battery Health. A top-of-mind consideration, due to the high cost of replacement, for used EV & PHEV buyers.
What you get
The battery state-of-health (SoH) ‘flash test’ will be performed on each used EV & PHEV vehicle supported by the Aviloo analysis and re-marketed by Car Giant WA. Approximately 95% of vehicles currently covered in the Australian market. This number is growing every day due to the influx of new competitive entrants. A battery health score and date-stamped certificate will be displayed in the image carousel for qualifying vehicles, wherever a Car Giant WA vehicle is displayed.
Aviloo CEO Dr Marcus Berger said in a statement: “When it comes to remarketing electric cars, companies and their customers face a challenge. The condition of the electric vehicle, especially of the battery, is crucial for determining the price and ensuring customer satisfaction. Battery diagnoses for vehicles can quickly seem confusing due to the variety of manufacturers, battery types, and complex applications. This is where AVILOO battery diagnoses come in, offering greater transparency in buying and selling, along with a user-friendly, standardised and fully integrated application.”
How it works:
An Aviloo test box plugs into an EV’s OBD port. Information is gathered from the vehicle systems and sent for analysis. The SoH report is generated by Aviloo and a Certificate generated, showing a topline figure of remaining battery state-of-health as a percentage. This report also generates a WLTP range calculation used versus new, specific to the given vehicle’s SoH score.
Austrian-based Aviloo claims to be the world’s leading provider of EV battery diagnostics, with more than 2000 clients across Europe, Asia, the US and Australia and is one of only three providers certified by the Car Remarketing Association Europe (CARA). An Aviloo SoH report determines battery health, remaining capacity, and identifies potential internal battery cell issues.
