Stamp Duty and Transfer Fees

When buying, trading or selling a motor vehicle in Australia there are Government and Statutory charges that can apply to each transaction.  These costs are typically the responsibility of the purchaser and are in addition to the advertised price of a pre-owned vehicle when sold from Western Australia. Some Australian States are required to advertise a used vehicle price inclusive of all fees and charges. i.e. Drive Away.

To comply with requirements in Western Australia, Car Giant WA advertises its Pre-Owned vehicles excluding Stamp Duty & Transfer Fees. The following links will assist our customers, Australia wide, to determine what Stamp Duty and Transfer costs are applicable in the garaging State that they reside.

Transporting Vehicles

Please Note: We can transport vehicles to most locations around Australia. We recommend using CEVA logistics as a quality service provider.
Alternatively we are happy to use your preferred agent on request. Vehicles shipped interstate are de-licensed prior to leaving WA, hence a permit is required in the destination state in order to drive the vehicle inorder to obtain pit passing on arrival in your home state.

Statutory Warranties apply Australia wide and we are here to assist if you encounter issues when pit passing in your local state. Your sales person will confirm any logistics arrangements at the time of sale.
